Get Garin Walking
raising funds to Get Garin Walking because an SDR operation will allow Garin to walk unaided
Garin is a very happy 13 year old boy who has a form of Cerebral Palsy called Spastic Diplegia. He is unable to stand unaided and he uses a walking frame to walk short distances. SDR surgery can change all this for Garin unfortunately the NHS Wales will not fund this operation. Therefore we need to raise £40,000 to enable him to have the surgery in America, which we achieve so thank you to everyone how helped us reach or goal. The surgery is just the first step, now Garin needs on going physiotherapy and strength and conditioning sessions to make the most from the surgery, which the NHS is unable to provide in the amounts prescribed after the surgery. Therefore we need to raise 10,000 pounds to provide the aftercare that is need to enable Garin to be fully mobile and independent. Please help us reach our goal.
