Billy's Steps
Please help us raise £60,000 because "We simply want our wonderful son Billy to Walk!"
Thank you for taking the time to visit Billy's JustGiving page.
Our son Billy was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of 1.He is now 7 and unfortunately is still unable to walk unaided. Our aim is to get Billy to walk independently!
We were primarily raising money to enable Billy to continue with his Physiotherapy as we see it as the key to helping Billy Walk. Billy undergoes intensive Physiotherapy at KidsPhysio Works in Colchester, which are making a huge difference to hismobility and independence. Billy also needs new equipment and Aids like walking frames, benches, specialist chairs etc all things he uses in Physio on a daily basis.
Thanks to all the amazing support and the funds raised Billy has Undergone a newoperation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR). The purpose of the SDR operation was to remove the spasticity in Billy’s legs in order to promote his mobility. Billy still needs to undergo further intensive Physiotherapy to help strengthen his muscles.
Billy is a wonderful little boy and we all desperately want him to walk, and fulfil the simple dream of seeing him running around in the garden and playing with his twin sister and older brother and sister.
It is a dream–that with your help- we can truly fulfil!
Please help if you can -Love Team Billy Childs xxxxx
Should we exceed the target amount (or if we do not raise enough funds, or if they cannot be used for any other reason) the funds raised will go to the general funds of Tree of Hope to assist other sick children.
