Believe in Hope 2

We are fundraising for home adaptations, therapies and equipment

Hello, my name is Hope, and I have Cerebral Palsy, which affects both of my arms and legs.

My identical twin sister, Ava, and I were born very early at just 27 weeks, and I only weighed 750g. When I was 18 months old, I was diagnosed with Quadriplegic Spastic Dystonic Cerebral Palsy. Now, at 11 years old, I am a happy, cheeky, and beautiful little girl, but I still cannot sit, stand, or walk unaided. Even though my body limits me, I really want to do as much as I possibly can.

I currently attend private physiotherapy twice a week, which helps me become much stronger, improves my core stability, balance, confidence, and even my speech. But, as you can imagine, both physiotherapy and speech therapy are quite expensive.

Recently, we have used a lot of my previous fundraising money to help pay for necessary adaptations around our home. These include a lift, wet room, and ramps to make sure I can be more mobile, safe, and happy at home with my twin sister, big brother, and my parents.

Looking ahead, I may qualify for surgeries that could help improve my condition. However, these might not be covered by the NHS. I will also outgrow essential equipment that helps me, and that too will need to be replaced.

I am incredibly lucky to have so much support from people who want to fundraise for me, and we have already received many kind donations. However, as the costs are ongoing, we have already had to use some of the funds, so any additional support you can give would be amazing.

On behalf of myself, Ava, Ben, Mummy, Daddy, and the rest of my family, we are forever thankful for the love, kindness, and generosity you’ve shown us. I promise I will work hard to make sure your donations are well spent.

Thank you so much! x x x x

7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.

If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, then the funds will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objects. If in those circumstances we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objectives, then any funds that cannot be used will be transferred to be used for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
