Epilepsy
What is Epilepsy?
Epilepsy is a condition that affects the brain, causing repeated seizures. Epilepsy can start at any age and there are many different types.
About
People are usually only diagnosed with epilepsy if their doctor thinks there’s a high chance, they could have more seizures. Some types last for a limited time, but for many people, epilepsy can be a life-long and life-threatening condition.
How can epilepsy be helped?
Epilepsy can be treated with medication and can impact other areas of health. This can be a secondary condition to other conditions and disabilities which may benefit from additional, unfunded, therapies recommended by healthcare professionals.
