Best of Luck to Tree of Hope Patron Claire Cashmore MBE in the Upcoming Paralympic Games

We are thrilled to wish our Paralympian patron, Claire Cashmore MBE, the best of luck as she prepares to compete in the upcoming Paralympic Games, starting on 28th August. Claire, who was awarded an MBE in 2017, has been a supporter of Tree of Hope and a beacon of hope and motivation for the children and young people we support.

Paris will mark Claire’s sixth Paralympic Games and her second as a Para triathlete in the Women’s PTS5 category. Claire will be competing in the French capital in search of her tenth Paralympic medal. Her illustrious career sends a powerful message to the children and young people we help; that dreams can be achieved with determination and courage.

The Impact of the Paralympic Games on the Disabled Community

The Paralympics play a significant role in empowering and uplifting the disabled community. By challenging stereotypes and misconceptions about disability, the Games highlight the extraordinary feats that individuals with disabilities can achieve. This visibility is crucial in raising awareness about the challenges faced by people with disabilities, including issues of accessibility, inclusion, and equality.

Tree of Hope’s Commitment to Inclusion

At Tree of Hope, we are proud to have Claire Cashmore as our patron. The Paralympic Games, through athletes like Claire, inspire more opportunities for people with disabilities to engage in physical activities, enhancing their quality of life. The Paralympics challenge societal perceptions of disability by focusing on what athletes can do, rather than what they can't. This has a profound impact on fostering a more inclusive, understanding, and supportive world.

Supporting Claire Cashmore and the Paralympic Movement

As Claire steps onto the global stage, we know that the children and young people of Tree of Hope will be watching, cheering, and finding new strength in their own abilities. The excitement is palpable here, and we can't wait to celebrate Claire's success.

Clare told us “I am currently out in Libourne for prep camp before heading to Paris. I am very excited to be competing at the Paralympic Games once again. I race on the 1st September so please tune in and cheer loudly!”

Join us in sending all our best wishes to Claire Cashmore as she represents our nation with pride. We are incredibly proud to have such a remarkable individual as our patron, and we know that Claire’s performance will inspire and uplift the hearts of everyone connected to Tree of Hope. We’re all behind you, Claire!
