Safe Place bed for Ava-mae

Ava-Mae is my 4-year-old daughter, and she is an absolute sweetheart. Everything about her is perfect in her own way. However, she faces daily challenges due to severe autism. She is nonverbal and has a genetic disorder that is still being investigated by Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Ava struggles with several things, including walking, communication, managing her excitement, and understanding danger. One of her biggest challenges is her sleep pattern—she often wakes up in the middle of the night full of energy and stays awake, playing with her toys until morning. This means both her mum and I have to stay awake with her, as we worry about what she might get up to.

I believe that getting Ava a safe place bed would be incredibly beneficial as it would provide her with a secure and comforting space, helping her feel safe. At the same time, it would give me and her mum peace of mind, allowing us to rest without constantly worrying about her safety.

7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.

If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, they will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objectives. If, in those circumstances, we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child, any funds that cannot be used will be transferred to be used for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
