Eve’s Journey from Tube to Table

Eve is a bright and determined little girl who has faced incredible challenges in her first year of life. Born with complex medical needs, she has never been able to eat like other babies. Instead, she relies on an NG (nasogastric) tube for all her nutrition. While this tube has kept her growing, it’s also prevented her from experiencing the joys of eating—tasting new flavors, sharing meals with family, and learning to feed herself.

Now, we have an opportunity to change that. NoTube, a world-renowned feeding therapy program in Austria, has helped hundreds of children like Eve transition from tube feeding to real meals. Their expert team specializes in helping children overcome oral aversions and develop the skills they need to eat safely and independently.

Without this intervention, Eve will need a gastrostomy (PEG), a more permanent feeding tube surgically placed in her stomach. This would mean more medical interventions and a longer journey before she can eat on her own. We want to give her the best possible chance to avoid that outcome and embrace the simple joy of eating.

We are raising £15,000 to fund Eve’s treatment at NoTube, along with the travel and accommodations required for her and our family. Through Tree of Hope charity, your donations will go directly towards giving Eve this life-changing opportunity.

7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.

If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, they will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objectives. If, in those circumstances, we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child, any funds that cannot be used will be transferred to be used for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
