ABR is a unique therapy which rebuilds the strength, structure, and function of a body with a specific technique so that the own development can take over. The body structure of children with brain damage or other physical disorders clearly deviates from the body structure of a healthy child.  

The goal of ABR is to (re)build the body architecture so that functional improvements such as head control, trunk control, sitting, crawling, walking, develop spontaneously. Ambitious About Autism are the national charity for children and young people with autism. They provide services, raise awareness and understanding, and campaign for change, to make the ordinary possible for children and young people with autism.  

Every autistic child and young person have the right to be themselves and realise their ambitions. We stand with autistic children, young people and their families to champion rights, campaign for change and create opportunities. We started as one school and have become a movement for change. Our services include providing information and practical support and delivering specialist education and employment programmes.

C-Potential offers expert-led rehabilitation for children and young people with movement disorders. Our expert clinicians work with babies, children and young people who have movement disorders due to conditions such as cerebral palsy, global developmental delay or acquired brain injury. Many of the children we work with also have related difficulties such as learning disabilities or sensory processing and/or communication. 

By providing a child-centred approach and working together to set combined goals, our expert clinicians tailor integrated rehabilitation programmes to suit a child’s individual needs.

Caudwell Children provide family support services, equipment, treatment and therapies for disabled children and their families across the UK. We also run our Enable Sport programme for talented disabled athletes and our Destination Dreams holiday for children fighting life-threatening conditions. 

Tree of Hope work as a referring partner with the Caudwell International   children’s Centre, to ensure children with autism receive the therapy and support they need to thrive. Caudwell Children also work with Tree of Hope in providing grants to many of our children who are fundraising for SDR (selective dorsal rhizotomy) surgery.

Dravet Syndrome is a rare, life-limiting and life-long neurological condition, occurring in around 1 in every 15,000 births in the UK. The condition causes epilepsy, learning disability and a spectrum of associated conditions, which may include autism, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), challenging behaviour, and difficulties with speech, mobility, feeding and sleep. 

Dravet Syndrome UK is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by working to bring hope to families living with Dravet Syndrome through support, raising awareness and funding medical research.

The Footsteps Centre provides intensive rehabilitation for children and young people with cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, epilepsy, neurological and neuromotor disorders, as well as undiagnosed conditions. 

Our approach is based around play and fun, mixing games with traditional and specialist physiotherapy exercises. The team’s aim is to enhance and progress the physical, cognitive and speech development of patients, as well as building confidence and, and by extension, independence.

Freddie Farmer Foundation is an independent charity, we opened our doors in 2015 to provide intensive block session physiotherapy programmes for children aged 3-16 years affected by cerebral palsy and mobility problems, providing support for their families and carers. Today we support children with a variety of physical disabilities and from all backgrounds to take paediatric physical therapy to a whole new level by combining specialist equipment and therapeutic exercises using techniques pioneered in Poland. 

We provide access to a team of highly experienced physiotherapists who use a unique and specialised piece of equipment called The Spider, with elasticated ropes so that children can do their exercises upright, several Therasuits which consist of a series of elastic bungee type bands to properly align the body, support weak muscles and provide external stabilization, and a LokoHelp electromechanical gait trainer to build up the leg muscles required for walking. We also use traditional therapeutic equipment such as parallel bars, paediatric steps, treadmills and therapy benches to facilitate therapy.

Harry’s Hydrocephalus Awareness Trust (Harry’s HAT) is a user-led charity, founded by the parents and friends of Harry Coates, a 3-year-old hydro-hero who lives with Hydrocephalus. 

The aim of the charity is to improve the outcome for all children with Hydrocephalus. Currently there are only two treatments for Hydrocephalus, both of which involve invasive and risky brain surgery. This surgery usually involves the insertion of a device called a shunt. Although lifesaving, 50% of all shunts block within the first two years of insertion (resulting in a need for further brain surgery, called a shunt revision). The charity aims to change this – its ultimate goal is improving treatments and options for those with the condition.
